Pragmatic Play posts a return-to-player figure on its own game pages, so any RTP cited for one of its titles leads straight back to the studio and not to an aggregator.

Each title on Pragmatic’s own game pages carries a single RTP, which is the upper limit of a range. Third-party records indicate that most titles come in three configurations an operator can pick from, with Gates of Olympus 1000 at 96.50 / 95.51 / 94.50 per cent and Sweet Bonanza 1000 at 96.53 / 95.52 / 94.51, while Pragmatic’s pages leave out that the lower settings exist. So a Pragmatic RTP as quoted reflects the best setup available, which may differ from what a particular operator actually runs.

This matters more than it sounds. Where a return-to-player figure comes from decides how far it can be trusted, and a number echoed around comparison sites with no primary source behind it is no evidence at all.

Pragmatic Play in the Philippine market

The company had a PAGCOR offshore licence from 2016, but the regime was scrapped as of the end of 2024. Pragmatic says nothing about where it stands in the Philippines today, so this site leaves that status open instead of repeating the 2016 announcement.

Licences the studio holds

On record, Pragmatic Play held: Malta Gaming Authority, UK Gambling Commission, PAGCOR — historical, and no longer current. Holding a studio licence does not amount to holding an operator licence: the first covers whoever makes the games, the second whoever offers them, and a player seeking recourse goes to the operator’s regulator, never the studio’s.

• Malta Gaming Authority — The licence is MGA/B2B/619/2018, issued to Pragmatic Solutions MT Limited. B2B Critical Supply Licence, casino vertical, with a Licensed status that was checked on the MGA’s own verification portal and not on Pragmatic’s site.
• UK Gambling Commission — The UKGC public register lists this entity as active: Pragmatic Play (Gibraltar) Limited, account 56015, under licence 056015-R-332216-005.
• PAGCOR — historical, and no longer current — Back in September 2016 Pragmatic Play put out an announcement about its PAGCOR offshore gaming licence. Manila has since dismantled the whole system, with every offshore licence due to expire by 31 December 2024 and PAGCOR confirming they were cancelled. That 2016 announcement is still sitting online, and people keep quoting it as if it were up to date. It is not.
