What is a GCash slot?

What happened to games inside the GCash app

Per GCash’s published help, the GLife Games top-up and withdrawal feature was pulled effective 16 August 2025, and GCash describes gaming access in GLife as suspended. The reason is a regulator instruction, covered next.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas issued Memorandum M-2025-029 to all BSP-supervised institutions, following Monetary Board Resolution No. 805 of 14 August 2025. It instructs them to remove links providing in-app gambling access within 48 hours of issuance, and it defines in-app gambling access as any product or service that redirects an account holder to a gaming or gambling site.

For you, that means a wallet app is no longer a place to open a game. If you want to play, you open the merchant’s lobby yourself, in your own browser.

How a GCash payment to a gaming merchant runs

The payment itself is a plain wallet transfer, and every step is one you can see:

You open the merchant’s lobby in your phone browser and sign in.
You open its cashier, read the amounts it shows, and choose GCash.
GCash asks you to confirm the merchant name and amount, then your MPIN.
GCash shows a reference number and debits the wallet.
The lobby credits your balance, and the game then runs inside the lobby.
